Duties & Tasks of the Financial Accountant (assets):
- Manage fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals, depreciation and capital accounting.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts.
- Lead year-end accounting processes relating to capital activities and fixed assets.
- Prepare and analyse financial information, reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide advice and guidance across finance functions on accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors and external advisers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to develop efficient and effective financial processes.
- Contribute to robust reporting, governance and risk management frameworks.
- Assist in delivering value-for-money initiatives and operational efficiencies.
