Team Leader - CNC Machining – Barnsley, UK – £39,000 + Bonus + Overtime
Team Leader - CNC Machining Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support a team of production operatives within a CNC machining environment.
- Coordinate daily activities to ensure production schedules and delivery targets are achieved.
- Monitor productivity, quality performance and operational KPIs, implementing improvements where required.
- Promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring all procedures and standards are consistently followed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and production operations.
- Experience of working with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and process optimisation techniques.
- Ability to effectively plan workloads and coordinate resources to achieve production objectives.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and manufacturing or ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, coach and develop team members.
- Quality-focused approach with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
