Site Engineer

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering major works on the HS2 project in the Northamptonshire region .

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer with structures experience who is looking for a paperwork and supervision-focused role , supporting the delivery of complex reinforced concrete structures on one of the UK s largest infrastructure projects.

You ll be working closely with Section Engineers and Agents, taking ownership of paperwork and quality documentation while supporting site operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with QA documentation and maintaining accurate site records

• Reviewing drawings and ensuring works are built to specification

• Preparing and managing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

• Collating as-built surveys and handover documentation

• Liaising with subcontractors and internal teams to resolve queries

• Supporting the delivery of RC structures and other structural elements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer working on structures (RC frames, bridges, retaining walls, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of QA processes and paperwork management

• Proficiency in reading drawings and maintaining technical documentation

• Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors on major infrastructure projects preferred

• Valid CSCS card and right to work in the UK
