If you’re looking for a rewarding freelance opportunity where your work has a direct and positive impact on people’s lives, this could be the perfect role for you What you'll be doing As a face-to-face interpreter, you will deliver vital language interpretation services to a range of organisations, particularly within the Health and Social Care sectors.Your assignments may include supporting individuals accessing services through the NHS, local councils, charities, and private businesses. You will play a key role in breaking down communication barriers, ensuring that every person has access to the services and support they need. ***Please note: This role involves regular travel within and around the Yorkshire area.*** Languages in Demand
Languages we are recruiting for include, but are not limited to: Amharic, Bengali, Cantonese, Czech, Dari, Farsi, French, Gujarati, Kurdish, Kurdish - Bahdini, Kurdish - Kurmanji, Kurdish - Sorani, Mandarin, Nepalese, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Spanish, Tigrigna, Turkish, Vietnamese Additionally, we welcome British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters – both Registered Sign Language Interpreters (RSLI) and Trainee Sign Language Interpreters (TSLI) are encouraged to apply. What we're looking for Essential Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication skills in both English and additional language
Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple assignments
Professionalism and enthusiasm, with a respectful and empathetic approach
Confidence interpreting across various environments (medical, social care, and community-based settings) Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child and Adult Workforce, with both Barred Lists) If you do not already hold one, we can assist you in completing your DBS application
