We are looking to recruit a qualified GP for 6 sessions per week. This role is supported with the help of the GP Practice Level reimbursement scheme. 4 Sessions are paid for by the practice and 2 sessions from the ICB. The position of 6 sessions will remain as long as the schemes runs by the ICB. You would be joining a supportive, high-performing, and friendly team who are passionate about delivering modern, efficient primary care while maintaining the traditional values of general practice. Our surgery provides an excellent working environment for both patients and staff. We serve a practice population of over 10200 patients. We offer 10-minute consultations and have a low home visit rate. We have 2 GP Trainers on site, and we regularly host F2 and ST trainees. - Provide high-quality patient care
- Conduct surgery and telephone clinic, plus occasional home visits
- Liaise with colleagues and external providers to ensure seamless care
- Investigate and refer patients appropriately, in line with guidance
- Review results and correspondence promptly
- Provide cover for colleagues when required
- Collect and review data for audit and QOF purposes
- Maintain excellent communication with patients and carers
- Attend clinical, governance, and educational meetings
- Work collaboratively and effectively within the team
- Manage your own workload and resources effectively
- Attend required training events and feedback sessions
- Report and follow up on significant incidents
About us
- GMS Practice with 10230 + patients
- No Extended Hours Commitment
- Three GP partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 Registrars
- Nursing team of six, including 1 ANP, 3 PNs & 2 HCAs
- We operate in a supportive PCN area, with support from Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, First Contact Physio, Mental Health Nurse, Social Prescribers and Enhanced Access Service.
- Achieve high QOF standards
- Paper-light & Noteless System using EMIS Web clinical software
We are looking for a colleague to join our Practice Team, making a difference to patients in Folkestone.
- You will be registered with GMC and engaged in regular clinical work.
- Be an experienced doctor with GP accreditation
- Hold MRCGP examination or equivalent experience
- Have a sound knowledge of the principles and values that support good medical practice
- Have good organisational skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working as part of a team
- Have a clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused service
- Have a record of continuous professional development
Essential
- MRCGP
- Qualified GP
- General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
- Full GMC Registration
- National Performers List registration
- Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
- Competent in the provision of medical services
- Experience of QOF and clinical audit
- Excellent clinical and non-clinical problem solving skills
- Experience as a salaried GP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal Skills
- Able to develop strong and effective working relationships
- Understanding of current NHS environment
- Awareness of current developments and initiatives in general medical practice
- Sound knowledge of clinical governance and clinical audit
- Sound understanding of QAIF policies and targets
