Cytiva, a Danaher life sciences company, seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead process safety management implementation and continuous improvement at a high-volume, high-hazard membrane manufacturing facility in Newquay. The role involves facilitating safety studies, managing regulatory compliance, and building process safety capability across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and continuous improvement of process safety management at the Newquay facility
- Facilitate process safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, ALARP, and DSEAR assessments
- Provide process safety expertise for engineering projects, design reviews, and operational improvements
- Manage process safety compliance requirements and critical equipment maintenance
- Support process safety improvement projects and build capability across multiple Cytiva sites
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in science, engineering, chemical engineering, or related discipline
- Extensive experience in process safety management within high-hazard manufacturing environments
- Practical knowledge of HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, ALARP, DSEAR/ATEX, COMAH, and PSSR
- Demonstrated ability to influence engineering, operations, maintenance, and EHS teams
- Clear communication and mentoring skills for building process safety capability
- Chartership or working towards chartership in relevant professional body
