HR Advisor

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an experience HR Advisor to join our team in Weston-Super-Mare supporting the EDF Hinkley Point C operation. Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a proactive, commercially focused HR service, partnering with managers across the site to drive engagement, performance, compliance, and colleague wellbeing.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Working on a hybrid basis, you will work 3-days in the office, and 2-day remotely, covering Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum , and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, probation, flexible working, and family leave policies
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across the operation, influencing and coaching managers to adopt best-practice people management approaches
• Support recruitment activities, talent management initiatives, succession planning, performance reviews, and employee engagement programmes
• Manage HR casework from start to finish, ensuring all processes and compliant with company policies, employment legislation, and Trade Union agreements
• Produce and analyse HR data and management information, supporting the HR Manager in delivering site people plans and continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience in an HR Advisor role, with strong employee relations experience including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and Trade Unions partnerships
• CIPD Level 3 qualified or currently studying towards this
• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility at all levels
• Experience managing confidential and sensitive information while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong attention to detail, excellent administrative capability, and confidence using HR systems and reporting tools
