SEND Teacher (Autism Specialist) - Southampton Area
Experienced SEND Teacher Sought for Thriving Secondary School in Southampton
Our client, a highly regarded secondary school in Southampton, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled SEND Teacher to join their supportive and inclusive learning community. This position, commencing in September, presents a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for empowering students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Individualized Learning: Develop and implement tailored education plans for students with diverse SEND, focusing on their unique strengths and challenges.
- Differentiated Instruction: Create engaging and accessible lessons that cater to a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, colleagues, and external support agencies to ensure holistic student development.
- Assessment and Progress Tracking: Utilize appropriate assessment tools to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Inclusive Classroom Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching students with SEND at the secondary level.
- A deep understanding of SEND legislation, frameworks, and best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and growth in the field of SEND education.
