Overview
Mitchell Adam is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager on behalf of a fast-growing, future-focused, multi-site business based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified or studying accountant to gain hands-on, high-impact experience within a business that values analytical insight and professional growth.
Working closely with a dedicated Finance Manager, you'll take a lead role in preparing accounts and analysing financial data for a portfolio of sites. You'll contribute to strategic decision-making through detailed analysis, reporting, and forecasting, gaining invaluable exposure across a dynamic finance function. This role offers a clear route to a Finance Manager position as you develop. You will be involved in preparing rolling cash flow forecasts and supporting budget and forecasting cycles, taking ownership of month-end duties, including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue reporting and crucially, communicating findings to senior management and key stakeholders across the business.
What You'll Need to Succeed

Be actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) and motivated to progress.

A strong communicator, confident working across departments and with external partners.

Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, large datasets) and a keen eye for detail.

Previous experience in a similar role or within a multi-site based business is advantageous but not essential.
