International Student Advice Team Assistant

The Student Support Services team are currently looking for International Student Advice Team Assistants to join their team on a temporary basis. 

Duties and responsibilities
The main duties will be:

- Checking financial documents for international students making sure they are meeting the Home Office requirements. This will be the main task

- Supporting staff and international students with some basic visa and immigration queries via emails and phone calls

- Answering telephone calls during the office core hours; answering basic queries and triaging the calls to the relevant team members

- Attending and registering international students in person

- Any other duties as advised by the Team members and the Team's Manager

Skills and experience

The candidates should have excellent IT skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. 

Experience in using databases and records systems. 

Ability to communicate effectively in person (if required), in writing and email, and by telephone with a diverse range of people. 

A commitment to excellent service delivery. 

High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail is extremely important for this .
