Who we are: We’re not just talking about making a difference, we’re making it happen. We generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.

You’ll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business champions. We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.

About the role: Drax Group produces, sources, sells and produces electricity from biomass pellets as part of its global operations. As a pellet producer, we source sustainable fibre close to our pellet operations, before converting the material into pellets and then transporting them to international counterparties, where they are used to generate renewable electricity (including at our own UK biomass generation plant in Selby). As a pellet user and trader, we source and sell sustainable biomass pellets.Drax is committed to delivering sustainability best practice and compliance with local and international laws in relation to its activities.

  • our processes, controls and reporting/verification frameworks are robust and resilient

As an effective data handler, you’ll support the Industry Framework team with a busy and varied workload of data processing, reporting and verification in relation to a number of complex and different frameworks and mechanisms. This will include, generation settlement/metered data, fuel measurement and sampling data, sustainability due diligence data including greenhouse gas calculations for the Group, and biomass sustainability certification evidence.

You’ll help collate regular reports to regulators including in relation to evidence of compliance with stringent sustainability requirements for fuel data. Working closely with Managers in the team, as well as many other key stakeholders including engineering departments, trading teams, Risk and Finance professionals and Sustainability/forestry experts.

You’ll be curious and enthusiastic about the world we live in, renewable energy markets, carbon removals, our supply chain and our role within them.
