Senior Project Manager

Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.

Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Project Manager with a background in Broadcast Media and previous experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and Service Transitions. This opportunity is an initial insideIR35 contract based in London up to 2 days a week, with the prospect for extension.

The role is for a Senior Project Manager to partner with the CS&D Delivery Manager and lead the delivery and service transition of the clients new Content Supply & Distribution (CS&D) pipeline.

The pipeline will deliver the client studios content to partner. It comprises around 50 systems of varying size, with the platform being delivered by a third party over the next 12 months.

What you'll be doing:

• Plan and execute the transition of the new CS&D platform into live operation, including cut-over management, staying flexible as programme conditions change.

• Establish the processes, governance and ways of working required to run the new service.

• Define and implement the support model, including team structure, roles and service management processes.

• Ensure the operational tooling, monitoring, documentation and runbooks are in place ahead of go-live.

• Coordinate delivery across the client technology teams and third-party suppliers to ensure a seamless end-to-end service.

• Facilitate the definition and establishment of the workstreams required to deliver the separation, ensuring activity aligns with the detailed plans coming out of each.

• Manage cross-workstream dependencies against the overall programme plan.

• Identify and bring in the delivery resources needed to execute the programme.

• Support the build-out of standalone supply chain capability as systems, processes and teams are cloned across into the studios.

• Own change management, governance reporting and resource management across the workstreams in scope, working through the existing Jira-based reporting framework and client delivery model.

What you'll bring:

• Senior Project Manager. Facilitator and coordinator by nature, delivering through workstream leads rather than commanding top down. M&A or BPO exposure highly relevant.

• Delivery track record across business applications and shared services (supply chain, finance systems, business services).

• Hands-on experience leading cutover activity, flexible enough to reshape transition planning as programme conditions change.

• Comfortable standing up new workstreams from scratch, mapping and holding cross workstream dependencies, and integrating detailed plans into a single view.

• Senior Project Manager level governance reporting, change control and resource management. Reporting runs through Jira, so familiarity is a plus.
