Production Foreman, Barnsley

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am – 17:30pm

Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE

Location: Barnsley

Contract Type: Permanent

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Production Foreman to join our business in Barnsley on a permanent basis. This role will suit a candidate who has a strong presence and leadership skills. It could suit someone with an ex-forces background.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and manage production teams on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved efficiently.
• Monitor performance, productivity and key operational KPIs.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
• Investigate and resolve production, quality and safety issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement across people, processes and production output.
• Complete production reporting and operational documentation.

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory or management experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
• Experience working in metal processing, fabrication, casting, steel, foundry or similar heavy industry.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage different personalities.
• Confident decision-maker who performs well under pressure.
• Experience working with production data, KPIs and reporting.
• Good IT skills, including Excel.
• Experience with mills, presses, metal casting or similar manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
