Case Administrator (AO) - Probation Services
Location: London (Mitre House, Borough High Street)
Additional information:
* Pay rate: £14.91 per hour
* Working pattern: 37 hours, Monday to Friday (3 days in office / 2 days working from home
What you'll be doing:
* Set up and maintain offender information on approved databases and paper systems as part of case documents
* Arrange all required appointments listed in the Initial Sentence Plan, ensuring nothing is missed
* Share relevant information with the Offender Management Team, Interventions Unit and/or Visor Unit as needed
* Produce, update and maintain case and report lists to a high standard (including documents that may be shared externally)
* Support administration for court-based and sentence-related activities, keeping files and records complete and up to date
* Receive and distribute information across multiple channels (telephone, email, post, trackers), responding appropriately
* Maintain accurate diaries and provide an effective reception and telephone enquiry service
* Keep data consistent by checking for missing/inaccurate information and taking the right steps to correct it
* Input and maintain information in computerised record systems and spreadsheets, including statistical tracking
* Support monitoring of compliance/non-compliance and help with enforcement administration where required
* Organise resources and equipment needed for case activities, and report faults/hazards promptly
* Attend meetings as appropriate and provide administration support, including note-taking when required

* Strong IT capability, with confidence using MS Office (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people
* Basic numeric skills and a careful, detail-focused approach to records, data and paperwork
* The ability to work on your own initiative while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
* Confidence handling sensitive situations calmly, including where people may be in crisis or display challenging behaviour
* A practical, organised mindset-able to prioritise workload and keep records and schedules flowing
