Sanctions tied to geo-political shenanigans and a shifting world order have caused significant disruption to the transactional private capital offering of this upper-quartile US law firm. Unlike in the US, in Europe, the firm has no specialist sanctions partners – a gap it had already identified as sub-optimal, even before the current administration took office.
The firm is keen to address this by hiring a (ideally dual‑qualified) US/English sanctions specialist, grounded in technical regime expertise (OFSI, OFAC and EU rules) and with strong client‑handling instincts.
