Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Planning and facilitating high-impact Chemistry lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 . The ability to teach A-Level Chemistry (including organic synthesis and thermodynamics) is highly desirable.

• Practical Laboratory Leadership: Leading rigorous and safe practical investigations—from titration and chromatography to complex chemical synthesis—ensuring students develop meticulous experimental skills.

• GCSE & A-Level Success: Guiding students through the AQA or Edexcel specifications, utilizing data-driven interventions to ensure every learner achieves or exceeds their target grade in Triple and Combined Science.

• Quantitative Mastery: Supporting students in mastering the mathematical foundations of Chemistry, including mole calculations, stoichiometry, and gas laws.

• STEM Advocacy: Promoting careers in chemical engineering, pharmacology, and green technology, and leading extracurricular initiatives like the "Royal Society of Chemistry" competitions or Chemistry clubs.

• Pastoral Leadership: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor, providing a supportive environment and monitoring the academic and personal development of a specific group of students.

Candidate Profile
