Role: Credit Hire Litigator
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled litigator to manage a quality caseload of litigated credit hire matters within a well-established and highly regarded practice. Due to continued growth and increasing volumes of work, our client is looking to appoint a Credit Hire Litigator to handle a varied caseload of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims, with a particular focus on credit hire disputes.
You will be responsible for managing claims from the point of litigation through to settlement or trial, working on both liability-admitted and disputed matters. The role offers significant autonomy, alongside the support of an experienced team and established processes designed to maximise efficiency and client outcomes.
- Managing a litigated caseload of credit hire and RTA claims.
- Conducting case reviews and developing litigation strategies.
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other court documentation.
- Handling matters through all stages of the litigation process.
- Liaising with clients, insurers, solicitors, counsel and third parties.
- Negotiating settlements and progressing claims to resolution.
- Maintaining accurate file management and case records.
- Achieving individual performance and billing targets.
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Previous experience managing a litigated credit hire caseload.
- Strong knowledge of credit hire litigation and relevant case law.
- Experience handling RTA claims from litigation through to conclusion.
- Confidence managing files independently and making strategic decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Applications from experienced Credit Hire Paralegals, Litigation Executives, Fee Earners and Solicitors with relevant litigated credit hire experience will be considered.
- Competitive salary dependent upon experience.
- Performance-related bonus scheme with realistic OTE earnings of between £1,000 and £2,800 per month in addition to basic salary.
