We are looking for Female Healthcare Assistants to support a young girl with complex care needs in her own home. This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring, patient and reliable HCA who is confident supporting children with complex clinical needs. The Role: You will provide 1:1 care and support, helping to maintain her comfort, safety and wellbeing throughout the night. She is non-verbal and communicates through sounds, touch and responses to those around her. She enjoys listening to lullabies, watching Disney, sensory play and spending time with her family. Clinical Care Includes:
- Tracheostomy care, including cleaning and tape changes
- Prolonged ventilation
- Oral suctioning
- Mic-Key/GJ tube and enteral feeding
- Medication administration via feeding tube
- Oxygen and oxygen saturation monitoring when required
- Seizure awareness and monitoring
- Personal care and skin monitoring due to eczema
- Full moving and handling support
- Regular repositioning throughout the night
- Caring, patient and compassionate
- Comfortable providing personal and clinical care
- Confident with moving and handling
- Able to follow care plans and clinical guidance
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit care team
- Experience in complex care or children's care is desirable
