HSB Technical Ltd is recruiting two experienced Electricians to support a range of electrical installation activities within a secure facility.


The successful candidates will undertake varied electrical work, including cable installation, terminations, fibre-optic systems, power installations and testing. Due to the secure nature of the environment, this position is entirely site-based, with no remote working available.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and route electrical cabling throughout the facility.
• Complete electrical terminations, including military-specification and copper cabling.
• Install, terminate and support fibre-optic systems.
• Carry out power installations in accordance with relevant technical requirements.
• Test, inspect and verify completed electrical installations.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults where required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Ensure all work meets the required quality, safety and security standards.
• Maintain accurate records of completed installation and testing activities.
• Work closely with engineering teams, OEMs and other technical personnel.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Electrician within a defence, marine, industrial or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong experience in cable installation, routing and termination.
• Knowledge of military-specification cabling and connectors would be advantageous.
• Experience working with copper and fibre-optic systems.
• Competent in electrical installation, inspection and testing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and installation documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team.
• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the Security Clearance required for the position.
• Must be able to work on-site at PTP for all contracted hours.

Appointment will be subject to the successful completion or verification of the required Security Clearance. Candidates must be willing and able to comply with all site security procedures.
