Computer Science and ICT plays an increasingly important role in preparing young people for the opportunities and challenges of the modern world. At The Bridge Academy, our ambition is to develop students who are confident, capable and well-rounded practitioners of Computer Science & ICT, equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive as technology continues to evolve.

We are looking for an exceptional Computer Science and ICT Subject Leader who shares this ambition and can provide strong curriculum and subject leadership. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on our existing provision, inspire excellent classroom practice and ensure students experience a challenging, engaging and relevant curriculum. Our provision spans KS3 Computer Science, OCR GCSE Computer Science at KS4 and BTEC ICT AAQ at KS5. We would particularly welcome candidates who can also contribute to Creative iMedia at KS4 and OCR A Level Computer Science, although these areas are preferable rather than essential.

Students develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills, including computational thinking, algorithm development, programming, pseudocode, systems architecture, data representation and networking. They are also encouraged to understand the wider legal, cultural, ethical and environmental implications of technology and develop strong computer and digital literacy.
