Job description

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Jig & Fixture Maker to join our manufacturing team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel fabrication and welding who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision-built jigs and fixtures. Working closely with our design and production teams, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke jigs and fixtures that support efficient, accurate production.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture steel jigs and fixtures from engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Work closely with the design team to develop practical manufacturing solutions.
• Carry out MIG welding and fabrication to a high standard.
• Ensure all jigs and fixtures are produced accurately and meet quality requirements.
• Modify and improve existing jigs where required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Jig & Fixture Maker.
• Strong welding and steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to manufacturing.
