As the Team Manager for the Schools’ Swimming Service, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high health and safety standards while providing essential swimming opportunities for schools. In this pivotal role, you will

• Ensure the Schools’ Swimming Service meets health and safety standards in line with industry guidelines.
• Oversee the recruitment of staff to meet the needs of schools and centres.
• Manage the Schools’ Swimming Service budget effectively.
• Facilitate swimming access for schools to meet national curriculum requirements.
• Produce relevant statistics to monitor service delivery.
• Provide line management for Senior Practitioners, Technical Specialists, and Lifeguards.
• Act as the Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all staff undergo relevant training and maintain up-to-date DBS checks.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A relevant qualification in social care, education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing teams and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, particularly in swimming environments.
• Experience in safeguarding practices and procedures.
