ICON seeks a Senior Lead Clinical Data Science Programmer to design, develop, and deliver clinical data solutions supporting global clinical trials. This role combines technical expertise with project leadership, requiring translation of study requirements into compliant, scalable systems across databases, analytics, and reporting tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain clinical data systems and study databases
- Develop programming solutions for data ingestion, validation, extraction, and reporting
- Create data review, risk management, and analytical outputs supporting study oversight
- Lead complex programming activities and system enhancements across study teams
- Mentor junior programmers and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Life Sciences, or related field
- Significant experience in Clinical Data Science, Clinical Systems, or Clinical Programming
- Strong experience with clinical databases, data integration, analytics, or data review platforms
- Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or equivalent programming languages
- Knowledge of clinical trial processes, data standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience engaging directly with customers and cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination abilities
