SYSTEMS ANALYST - FMCG - BRACKNELL


Robert half are the exclusive recruitment partner to a fast growing, investor backed FMCG manufacturing business that due to a recent systems implementation, are seeking a confident, technically proficient and commercially focused systems analyst to run, maintain a chart of accounts, data pull, identify and manage small bugs / user errors whilst coordinating with the outsourced provider on larger issues.

This role would be based at their Bracknell HQ, with the opportunity to work remotely up to 4 days per week.

Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

Business systems support and AMS coordination

• Own the day-to-day coordination of the ERP support mailbox, ensuring requests are acknowledged, assessed, prioritised and tracked through to closure.
• Classify reported items as suspected system defects, configuration or change requests, master-data issues, access or security requests, process or training issues, or reporting and integration matters.
• Maintain a controlled support and change backlog, coordinate priorities with relevant process owners, monitor progress and communicate outcomes to users.
• Act as the primary business liaison with consultancy AMS and coordinate Microsoft escalation through the agreed support route where a genuine product defect is identified.
• Identify recurring support themes and recommend process, configuration, data or training improvements that reduce repeat incidents.

D365 functional configuration and process support

• Support the controlled maintenance of financial dimensions, departments, cost centres, dimension ownership, account structures, service items, workflow rules, fiscal calendars and relevant finance parameters.
• Investigate posting, reconciliation, workflow and configuration issues, resolving matters within approved access or coordinating external support where specialist intervention is required.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and maintain configuration records, decision logs and supporting process documentation.
• Support security-role and licence reviews by clarifying business requirements and control implications, without independently approving access to incompatible duties.

Master data quality and governance

• Support clear standards, ownership and maintenance responsibilities for Product, Customer, Vendor and finance-related master data.
• Define and maintain proportionate data-quality rules, exception checks and owner-attributed reporting across completeness, validity, uniqueness, consistency, accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyse root causes of recurring data issues and propose preventative controls such as validation rules, required fields, workflow changes or improved user guidance.
• Support master-data readiness for new products, legal entities, acquisitions, system enhancements and reporting requirements.
• Preserve segregation of duties by ensuring business Data Owners remain accountable for data decisions and routine source-record maintenance unless a separately approved control permits direct action.

Testing, release and change assurance

• Coordinate business user acceptance testing for relevant fixes, releases, enhancements and configuration changes.
• Agree expected results with process owners, ensure relevant regression testing is considered and retain evidence of testing and approval.
• Review release notes and change documentation, confirm that business prerequisites have been met and coordinate functional sign-off through the agreed governance process.
• Support user communications, concise guidance and targeted training where system behaviour or process requirements change.
• Work with internal teams and delivery partners to define clear responsibilities for configuration, testing, deployment, issue resolution and production support.

Reporting and continuous improvement

• Provide concise reporting on support request volumes, ageing, recurring themes, testing status and master-data quality.
• Use Excel, Power BI, Fabric and other appropriate tools to analyse issues and make system and data-quality performance visible to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention, duplicate maintenance, recurring journals and inefficient workarounds.
