About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Field Engineer with strong customer service and problem-solving skills to join our growing technical team. This role will involve regular customer site visits, providing onsite IT support, carrying out installations, and assisting with infrastructure projects where needed.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, have excellent troubleshooting skills, and take pride in delivering a high standard of service to customers. The role will be field based with attendance required at our Basildon Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support to customers across a range of environments.

• Carry out workstation, laptop, printer, and peripheral installations.

• Assist with office moves, new site setups, and infrastructure projects.

• Perform hardware upgrades and replacements.

• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and connectivity issues.

• Ensure all work is documented accurately and completed to company standards.

• Liaise directly with customers and 3rd parties where required, providing excellent customer service at all times.

• Follow health and safety procedures while working on customer sites.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Previous experience in a Field Engineer or IT Support Engineer role.

• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, switching, wireless).

• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable

• Experience working within an MSP environment.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft

• Experience with hardware/servers – installing RAM, SSDs, Batteries etc.
