Following continued growth in their Leeds tax team they are now looking to strengthen their VAT and Indirect Tax offering with the appointment of an experienced Manager.This is a genuine opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious tax team where your contribution will be visible and valued from day one. Your new role: As a VAT and Indirect Tax Manager based in Leeds you will work closely with the VAT and Indirect Tax Senior Manager to deliver complex advisory projects while also leading your own portfolio of VAT advisory work. You'll handle ad hoc queries from across the business, identify planning and advisory opportunities within your client base and play an active role in business development and growing the firm's indirect tax profile in the marketplace.You'll manage your workload to agreed timescales, monitor project budgets and deadlines, and build and maintain a strong network of business partners and intermediaries to support the firm's continued growth. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the VAT and Indirect Tax Senior Manager on complex VAT advisory projectsLeading your own portfolio of VAT advisory projects and handling ad hoc indirect tax queriesIdentifying planning and advisory opportunities across your client baseKeeping up to date with changes in VAT legislation, case law and HMRC guidanceManaging workload and project timelines, reporting variances to budgets and ensuring deadlines are metBuilding and maintaining a network of business partners and intermediariesSupporting business development activity alongside the Senior Manager and Partners To be successful in this role, you'll need: At least 5 years of VAT advisory experience across a range of sectorsStrong technical knowledge of UK VAT and indirect tax legislationA commercially minded and driven approach to growing an advisory offeringExcellent client management and communication skillsThe ability to manage and support junior team members effectively Benefits: Competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000Flexible smart working policyGenerous holiday entitlement with purchase schemeComprehensive wellbeing and benefits packagePaid professional membership fees and ongoing training supportWant to find out more?
