Temp to Perm Opportunity Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy and well-established waste management operation based in East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent full-time work, weekly pay, and the chance to secure a permanent role with a reputable client. Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:15am start times
Minimum 40 hours per week
Overtime available depending on workload
Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate
The Role
Operating a Class 2 skip vehicle across scheduled delivery and collection routes
Delivering and collecting skips safely and efficiently
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
Pay Rates
PAYE
£14.53 per hour
£21.80 per hour overtime after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
£16.28 per hour
£24.42 per hour overtime after 8 hours ✅ Minimum 40 hours guaranteed per week

Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Previous skip, waste, or similar Class 2 driving experience preferred
Good understanding of health & safety procedures
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
