Google Cloud has traditionally been seen as the “3rd choice”, not any more. Demand is skyrocketing. If you thrive in a GCP environment, and want to get involved in a replatforming project. Here you go. The company is centralising their platform, GCP the cloud of choice, with buckets of Terraform and everything (except an instance or two) running in Kubernetes - GKE specifically. In addition, they are looking to implement SLOs and SLIs to increase the overall reliability of the platforms, so if you’re big on those, come in and drive them forward. Setting the standard across the entire technology function. Day to day you’ll use Prometheus, DataDog and whatever else you feel will increase the system's observability. The company operates a remote first culture, offering flexibility for you to work in a way which suits you best. That said, a few times a year you may have to visit the central London office for big meetings, social events or just to get the team together. That office is still there if you want to use it more.
