Teacher of Art and Design

Derby High School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and capable temporary Teacher of Art and Design, full time, for two terms. There is the possibility the role could become permanent.

The successful candidate will teach Art and Design throughout the Senior School, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students from Year 7 through to GCSE and possibly A Level. They will share our passion for developing the work of the department and for sharing good practice and will play an active role in the School’s extensive and varied co-curricular programme, including House Art and the department’s photography competition.

You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong organisational skills and a clear commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. You will combine high expectations with a supportive and collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues to ensure that pupils of all abilities make strong progress.
