Immigration Associate - Birmingham

Business Immigration Associate / Senior Associate | 4+ PQE | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm seeking a Business Immigration Associate / Senior Associate to join its growing Immigration team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible hybrid working, typically requiring around one day a week in the office, offering exposure to a broad range of business immigration matters for a diverse national client base. The Role: Advise businesses on a broad range of business immigration matters, including Skilled Worker visa applications and sponsor licence applications. Manage Sponsorship Management System (SMS) processes, including Certificates of Sponsorship and sponsor licence compliance. Advise clients on right to work issues and undertake sponsorship compliance audits. Support corporate transactions through immigration due diligence where required. Provide immigration advice to clients across the healthcare, higher education, financial services and commercial sectors. Support business development initiatives and build strong client relationships. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's national Immigration team. Candidate Requirements: Qualified solicitor with 4+ years' PQE. Strong corporate/business immigration experience. Experience advising on Skilled Worker visas, sponsor licences, SMS and right to work compliance. Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision. Commercially aware with excellent communication and client management skills. An interest in business development and networking. Experience of immigration due diligence on corporate transactions would be advantageous but is not essential.
