Assistant Estimator - Cladding & Façades Location - Manchester Salary/Package - £30,000 - £40,000 + Excellent Benefits Package About the Company Our client is a growing specialist contractor operating within the façade, cladding, and building envelope sector, delivering high-quality external envelope solutions across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team and develop a long-term career within the cladding and façades industry. The Role As Assistant Estimator, you will be responsible for: Assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for cladding and façade projects Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation Producing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost plans Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedules Assisting with value engineering exercises and identifying cost-saving opportunities Working closely with the estimating, commercial, and design teams throughout the tender process Maintaining accurate tender documentation and estimating records Building strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients Supporting project handovers to the commercial and operational teams following successful tenders The Ideal Candidate The successful Assistant Estimator will have: Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or construction support role Experience within cladding, façades, roofing, glazing, or the wider construction industry would be advantageous Strong numerical and analytical skills The ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel Relevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageous What's on Offer Competitive basic salary of £30,000 - £40,000 Attractive benefits package Opportunity to join a growing and highly respected specialist contractor Structured training and ongoing professional development Exposure to high-profile cladding and façade projects across the UK Long-term career progression within an expanding business Supportive and collaborative pre-construction team Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
