Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop and maintain high-performance Power BI dashboards and self-service reports for Senior Leadership, Compliance, Sales and Reseller Operations.

· Ensure consistent data definitions, accurate reporting and clear documentation so dashboards remain trusted and audit-ready.

· Analyse transactional patterns, performance metrics and anomalies to deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.

· Help users understand dashboards and develop self-service analytics skills.

· Monitor live data loads, investigate discrepancies and implement lasting fixes following root-cause analysis alongside the Data & Analytics Engineer.

· Document analytical models, reporting views, data dictionaries and transformation logic to reduce reliance on individual knowledge.

· Develop, monitor and maintain Power Automate workflows for operational processes, encryption/decryption and automated fraud alerts.

· Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable automation to reduce repetitive tasks and manual reporting.

· Translate stakeholders’ commercial and operational requirements into practical technical solutions.

· Collaborate with the Data & Analytics Engineer on data dependencies and technical delivery, including Salesforce and file ingestion into Snowflake.

· Recommend practical improvements to data architecture, automation and AI applications to the Chief Strategy Officer.

Key attributes, skills and experience

· 5+ years’ hands-on experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data analysis or data modelling.

· 5+ years’ hands-on Power BI experience: advanced data modelling, DAX, dashboard design, user experience and workspace deployment for business-critical reporting.

· 3+ years’ hands-on SQL experience: complex queries, reporting views, performance optimisation and troubleshooting.

· 2+ years’ hands-on experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouses, such as BigQuery or Redshift.

· Strong capability building, monitoring and supporting operational workflows in Power Automate or equivalent tools.

· Significant experience maintaining audit-ready datasets, reconciling figures and investigating data quality issues and anomalies.

· Strong documentation skills across data definitions, transformation logic and technical guidance.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

· Ability to turn business requirements into reliable reporting, analytical models and automation solutions.

· Ability to deliver technical work independently and collaborate across commercial, compliance and operational teams.

Desirable

  • Experience within fintech, payments, or other regulated financial services environments.
  • Practical exposure to Python for data extraction or analysis.
  • Exposure to modern transformation tools (e.g., dbt) or data pipeline scheduling.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and CRM data structures.
  • Experience with practical machine learning or AI automation use cases in a business setting.

Success in the Role

  • Deliver a robust, scalable and trusted data platform.
  • Continue to develop technical capability within the Data team.
  • Increase business adoption of reporting and analytics.
  • Deliver measurable benefits through automation and AI initiatives.
  • Ensure Data Services is recognised as a strategic business enabler.
