Location: Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Londonderry / Derry
Contract Type: Locum – Full Time
Start Date: 7/4/2026
Duration: Ongoing / negotiable
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Consultant in ENT to join the team at Altnagelvin Area Hospital. This is a full-time position offering a varied and rewarding workload within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level ENT care across elective and emergency services
Participate in outpatient clinics, theatre lists, and ward rounds
Contribute to the on-call rota (details available on request)
Supervise junior medical staff and support service development
Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical governance
Essential Requirements
Full GMC registration with licence to practise
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for ENT (or within 6 months)
Previous NHS consultant or senior locum experience preferred
Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills
