Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Redcar, TS10 5QW Summary A major Tier 1 infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team to play a part in delivering the landmark Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based in Redcar. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most ambitious decarbonisation initiatives, helping to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure. Lodging will be paid where needed for candidates not living within a commutable distance. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor working on construction of a large-scale, combined-cycle, gas-powered generation plant you will be responsible for the commercial management of major work packages on the project and will ensure cost efficiency, risk control, and contractual compliance while supporting the successful delivery of this high-profile scheme. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will: Lead commercial management of assigned project sections from procurement through to final accountPrepare, manage, and report on project budgets and forecastsAdminister contracts (NEC preferred) and manage subcontractor relationshipsIdentify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunitiesOversee valuations, variations, and change control processesProvide accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholdersMentor and support junior commercial team members You will have the following: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure or energy projectsStrong knowledge of NEC contractsExcellent commercial awareness and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex project environmentDegree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineChartered status (RICS or equivalent) is desirable Salary / Benefits Between £65,000 - £70,000 plus package including: A Company CarSmart working, giving you more flexibility such as staggered start and finish times, with up to remote working, where roles allow.Accommodation provided on site where required.25 days paid annual leave (pro rata)Pension, share incentive plan, volunteering leave, recognition schemes and much more.
