Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care Services

£55.52k - £62.65k per annum
Full-time
Job summary

Are you an experienced Clinical Nurse Practitioner passionate about working in Urgent Care or Walk in Services?

We are excited to offer Clinical Nurse Practitioner opportunities at Finchley Memorial Hospital. Join our Urgent Care and Walk-in Services team, where we value diverse clinical perspectives and a commitment to community care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Clinical Practitioner who is passionate about delivering high quality, patient centred care in a fast paced urgent care environment. You will play a key role in the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a wide range of conditions, working autonomously while being fully supported by a multidisciplinary team.

As a highly valued member of our Urgent Care team, the quality of care we provide starts with you. We pride ourselves in supporting our ACP and ENP workforce with up-to-date evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, supervision, and career progression.

You will join a supportive, forward-thinking service that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement, providing the environment to thrive and deliver outstanding care.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide high quality evidence-based care to patients attending with injuries and undifferentiated health problems.
  • The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner delivering care to our patients.
  • Utilising expert diagnostic skills and clinical reasoning to provide autonomous, unscheduled care for patients presenting with acute undifferentiated conditions (most commonly minor injuries and ailments although some patients attending may present with complex health needs and / or acute on chronic conditions).
  • The post holder will deliver care in collaboration with Emergency services, other health care professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • To work in association with colleagues, including doctors and trainee ACPs, in defining standards of care and practice aimed at maintaining, developing or improving quality.
  • To work in collaboration with our other CLCH walk in centres/UCCs, including occasional cross cover to other sites.
  • To work with the senior staff in the operational management and the organisational development of the service
  • Work shifts within the service during the operating hours (Currently 8am-8pm, but noting that this could be subject to change dependent on commissioning requirements)
  • These posts offer the chance to work locally, with a varied and rewarding clinical caseload.
So If you want to work locally with flexible shifts and a supportive team, our Walk-In Centres could be ideal.
