Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) - Telephone Triage, Out of Hours & Urgent Care | Liverpool, Warrington, Chester & Southport

Rates: £33-£40 per hour (Limited Company / Sole Trader) About the Opportunity
We are recruiting experienced Urgent Care Practitioners to support a range of urgent and unscheduled care services across Liverpool, Warrington, Chester, Southport and the wider North West. This opportunity is ideal for clinicians experienced in telephone triage, same-day access, Out of Hours services and urgent care, who are confident assessing undifferentiated patients, delivering safe clinical advice and making effective clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment. Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified Urgent Care Practitioners, Emergency Care Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners with relevant urgent care experience. Key Responsibilities * Undertake telephone and remote clinical assessments.
* Triage patients presenting with urgent and unscheduled care needs.
* Provide safe clinical advice, treatment recommendations and patient management.
* Identify high-risk patients and escalate or refer appropriately.
* Maintain accurate clinical records using electronic patient record systems.
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support safe and effective patient care. Requirements * Current NMC or HCPC registration.
* Previous experience within Urgent Care, Out of Hours, Same Day Access or Telephone Triage services.
* Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work independently within busy urgent care environments.
* Strong communication and patient management skills.
* Experience using EMIS, Adastra or other urgent care clinical systems is desirable. What We Offer * Flexible locum sessions, including weekdays, evenings, overnight and weekend shifts.
* Ad hoc and ongoing rota opportunities.
* Supportive multidisciplinary clinical teams.
* Dedicated consultant support from registration through to placement.
