Distribution Supervisor

Role: Distribution Supervisor Location: Milton Keynes Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 3.00pm – 11.00pm (37.5 hours per week) Salary: £37,500 - £40,000 DOE An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Distribution Supervisor to join a successful and growing organisation in Milton Keynes. Benefits: Competitive salary of £37,500 - £40,000 DOE Monday to Friday working pattern Supportive and collaborative team culture Genuine career progression opportunities Stable and growing organisation Opportunity to make a real impact within the operation Leadership role with responsibility for developing future talent Duties of a Distribution Supervisor: Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 20 warehouse associates through two Team Leaders Drive performance, productivity and accountability across the distribution operation Monitor daily operational KPIs and turnaround times, taking action where required to achieve targets Support, coach and develop Team Leaders and warehouse staff to maximise performance Lead by example on the warehouse floor and maintain a hands-on approach to leadership Oversee daily workflow, resource planning and labour allocation Conduct return-to-work meetings and support employee wellbeing and attendance management Ensure all quality, safety and compliance standards are consistently met Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies Support the onboarding and training of new employees Participate in shift handovers and provide operational updates to management Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and safety across the warehouse What we would like from you: Previous experience within a distribution, warehouse or logistics environment Proven experience leading and developing teams Experience managing Team Leaders or Supervisors would be highly advantageous Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, pick, pack and dispatch Ability to motivate, coach and develop people Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence making decisions in a fast-paced environment Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems Flexible and proactive approach to work Fork Lift Truck licences (VNA and Counterbalance) would be advantageous but are not essential This role would particularly suit candidates currently working as a Warehouse Supervisor, Distribution Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Warehouse Team Manager or Operations Supervisor who are looking for a progressive opportunity within a great team and positive culture.
