Join us as a Production / Electromechanical Build Technician at our Farnborough site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.

The Role

As a Production / Electromechanical Build Technician, you’ll play a key role in bringing cutting-edge products from concept to reality, ensuring high-quality assemblies are built, tested, and delivered to support the development of state-of-the-art technology solutions.

Day-to-day, you’ll manufacture, assemble, inspect, and test a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic products, working from engineering drawings, specifications, and production documentation.

You'll be responsible for wiring, soldering, cable assembly, equipment operation, quality inspections, and maintaining accurate production records, while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new team at the forefront of advanced technology development. Working on innovative, next-generation products, you'll have the chance to contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, support prototype and trial builds, and collaborate closely with engineers and technical specialists as new manufacturing capabilities are established.

For someone passionate about electro-mechanical assembly and precision manufacturing, this role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology in a fast-growing and highly collaborative environment where your contribution will have a direct impact on the success of the products being developed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and trial manufacturing builds
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, ESD requirements, and manufacturing procedures
  • Maintaining accurate production records, manufacturing data, and traceability documentation
  • Assisting with the setup and adjustment of production equipment and workstations for new or modified products
  • Following production schedules to meet quality, delivery, and productivity targets
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and electronic production systems to complete assemblies accurately

Essential experience of the Production / Electromechanical Build Technician:

  • Ability to manufacture assemblies to specification using engineering drawings, procedures, and electronic production systems with minimal supervision
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic component installation and wiring
  • Proficiency in the use of torque drivers, torque analysers, multipliers, and general assembly hand tools
  • Knowledge of ESD handling procedures and controls
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and manage priorities effectively
  • Experience managing production documentation and working within revision-controlled processes

Essential qualifications for the Production / Electromechanical Build Technician:

  • A Levels, BTEC, NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline
  • Vocational or technical training in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical assembly
  • Demonstrable experience building mechanical, electrical, or electronic assemblies and working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience carrying out assembly inspections and quality checks within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with computer-controlled production systems, manufacturing software, and production documentation
  • Knowledge of revision-controlled processes and manufacturing best practices

We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
