Grade C- Serious Injury Solicitor (Grade C)- Multiple Hires

This is a remote position.

You'll support a portfolio of claimant serious injury claims — predominantly RTA, with complex technical issues and quantum. Cases typically range from £200,000 to £1,000,000.

You'll work closely with the lead fee earner, taking on chargeable work and helping drive cases forward.

What You'll Do

• Know every case inside out — the key disputes, the plan to resolve them
  
• Progress agreed actions swiftly, working to the plan set with your lead fee earner
  
• Handle chargeable work under the fee earner's direction
  
• Meet clients regularly, face to face and by phone
  
• Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team — medical experts, case managers, care experts, architects, forensic accountants, counsel
  
• Research and analyse liability, causation and quantum
  
• Draft statements, pleadings and schedules of loss
  
• Secure early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation, and optimise settlement outcomes
  
• Be a reliable point of contact for clients and other parties
  
• Keep the case management system up to date
  
• Build strong working knowledge of common issues in serious injury claims
  
• Liaise with Finance on disbursements and accounts
  
• Prepare documents for client meetings, conferences and settlement meetings
  
• Raise your profile and the department's — including work with APIL, Headway and SIA (case reporting, articles, testimonials)
  
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate
  
• Perform well in a target-driven environment
  
• Take on other reasonable tasks as the business needs
  

Requirements

How You'll Be Measured

Your KPIs and objectives will be agreed with you directly. Regular one-to-ones with your line manager will track progress and flag where support or development is needed.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Legal professional — Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx — capable of justifying a Grade C rate

Track record assisting with or managing serious injury claims, comfortable liaising with multi-disciplinary experts

Genuine commitment to client care

Strong communication skills — including negotiation and objection handling

Able to hit objectives at pace without dropping quality or care

Comfortable with case management systems, Excel and Word

Sharp attention to detail, well organised, good time management

Desirable

Positive, self-motivated, uses initiative

Team player, natural mentor to junior colleagues

Keen to build your profile in personal injury and links with bodies like Headway, SIA and APIL
