Matchday Production Manager

About the Role:

The matchday production manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of all match presentation across the club’s Men, Women and Netball teams. The role owns the role of transforming a matchday into an event that encourages deeper fan engagement and is commercial impactful for all stakeholders.

The role will lead the development and execution of the matchday run of show, manage relationships with the club’s stadium presentation partners, coordinate internal departments and oversee hosts across the stadium and fan zone. To ensure we create memorable and consistent memories for all fans.

The role will also help deliver any ad-hoc club projects which involve a level of production across the stadium or external sites.

The successful candidate will be highly organised with exceptional attention-to-detail. Have a passion for developing best-in-class fan experiences and thrive under the pressure of working in a live matchday environment.

This role will involve working evenings, weekends and bank holidays in-line with the football fixture schedule.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and delivery of all matchday presentation across Men, Women and Netball fixtures

• Develop and own detailed matchday run of show documents and production timelines – including scripts

• Manage all matchday entertainment and develop areas to extend the matchday experience

• Ensure matchday production aligns with club brand and strategic priorities

• Consistently look to innovate and enhance our fan experience through the matchday

• Act as the primary contact for the club’s stadium presentation partner, ADI

• Support Partnerships in delivery of LED and screen advertising

• Develop matchday presentation activation into sponsorable assets for our Partnerships team

• Collaborate with all internal teams to ensure campaign messaging is integrated into stadium programming

• Manage requirements for any special occasions, anniversaries, celebrations and club milestones

• Manage matchday hosts, announcers and any other talent required

• Manage the matchday costs inside the marketing budget

• Oversee the gameday production of our Netball team

• Create post-event reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement

• Support the club on wider fan activations and events that require a level of production support

What are we looking for:

Essential

• Experience managing live event and / or sports presentation

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple departments and suppliers

• Experience managing talent and freelance production teams

• Excellent organisational skills

• Strong understanding of stadium technology

• Ability to remain calm under the pressure of a fast-paced live environment

Desirable

• Experience working for a professional sports team

• Understanding of sponsorship activation and commercial rights

• Experience of working with broadcast partners and rights holders
