Our client, a globally recognised powerhouse in the legal sector, is seeking a talented Mid-Level Associate with approximately 2–6 years’ PQE to join its market-leading Financial and International Trade team in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile, complex cross-border matters within a premier international practice, with a clear and credible pathway to Senior Associate.

• Economic sanctions and financial sanctions compliance
• Export controls
• Customs and international trade regulation
• Cross-border investigations, enforcement and compliance
• Free trade agreements
• Financial services regulation
• Corporate integrity and compliance
• Anti-bribery and corruption
• Foreign investment screening and review

The practice advises an impressive international client base across a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, energy, space, transportation, construction and engineering.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a qualified lawyer with a strong academic background and approximately 2–6 years’ PQE, ideally with:

• Experience in the international trade practice of a leading law firm and/or relevant, transferable in-house experience.
• A solid grounding in financial sanctions, export controls and cross-border investigations and enforcement.
• Excellent technical legal skills and the ability to deliver high-quality advice on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of clients’ wider business objectives.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial approach, with the confidence and acumen to contribute to business development initiatives.
