Teaching Assistant

We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with ASD, PMLD, and additional learning needs. You'll use creative and sensory-based activities such as art, music, play, and hands-on learning to engage children, develop communication skills, promote independence, and support their overall development.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism and complex needs
* Deliver engaging sensory, creative, and therapeutic activities
* Support communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing
* Assist with personal care and mobility where required
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND, Autism, or complex needs
* Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, sensory learning, or similar approaches is desirable
* Patient, resilient, and enthusiastic attitude
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
