SEN Learning Support Assistants

Protocol Education is recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in inclusive mainstream primary schools, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs. You'll play a key role in helping children build confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their individual goals in a supportive classroom environment. We have a variety of full-time, part-time, long-term and daily supply opportunities available to suit your availability. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsHelping children access the curriculum through tailored learning strategiesWorking collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionalsEncouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulationBuilding trusting relationships that promote confidence and independenceSupporting pupils with personal, social and emotional development You'll be supporting children with a range of needs, including: Autism (ASC)ADHDSpeech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsLearning difficulties and developmental delays What we're looking for: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in schools or through care, childcare, youth work or similar settingsA patient, resilient and compassionate approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learnA genuine commitment to inclusive education Why work with Protocol Education?
