Job summary
Are you looking a registered Mental Health/ Learning Disabilities Nurse looking for a Clinical Team Leader role, that could develop into a clinical manager position. Joining our experienced inpatient senior nursing team at Seastone Ward, based on Alumhurst road, will help you grow and develop your career in Children and Adolescent Mental Heath Services.

As the Clinical Team Leader you will provide innovative, high-quality care to young people aged 13-18 suffering from acute mental illness. The ward will offer comprehensive assessments and treatment so Service Users can have shorter stays in hospital. You will help lead the team providing high quality care to young people working in a supportive team to provide individual care to those within the unit in accordance with the integrated care programme approach. We provide in depth on-going inductions, invest in personal training programmes and clinical and management supervision.

The Clinical Team Leader role is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week for a 24-hour service. We would be flexible and welcome part time applicants of 22.5 hours.

Early - 07.00 to 15.00
Late - 12.00 to 20.00
Long days - 07.00 - 20.00
Nights - (enhanced pay) - 19:30 to 07.30

Main duties of the job
This role includes a £3,000 Recruitment Premium, with a payment of £1,500 upon completion of probation and £1,500 after 12 months in post.

Make judgements about appropriate models of treatment, often involving highly complex issues and situations and thus requiring analysis, comparison and interpretation of a range of options.

Attend and participate in ward rounds, clinical case meetings and CPA reviews to ensure the needs of children, young people and their families/carers are addressed to support their recovery.

Day to day supervision and management of band 5 Tier 4 CAMHS nurses/staff nurses and mental health support workers.

You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
