Cobbs Garden Surgery has an exciting opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our friendly, forward-thinking team, on a part-time basis for 3-4 days per week. This is an excellent role for a skilled nurse with respiratory training and-or cardiovascular training who enjoys a broad clinical remit, continuity of care and being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Our multidisciplinary team includes GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, a fulltime clinical pharmacist, physiotherapist, nursing associate, HCA and GPAs.
We are a teaching practice, with a strong focus on learning and professional development for all staff.

- Undertaking health assessments, administering medications & treatments, & performing diagnostic tests
- FeNO or spirometry assessments
- Cardiovascular assessments
- Doppler assessments
- Injections, including Zoladex
- Travel vaccinations
- Dressings, including compression therapy
- Baby & childhood imms
- ECG recording
- HRT & contraception reviews
- Cervical screening
- Providing & evaluating a range of health interventions to meet patients health and social care needs
- Promoting general health & wellbeing
- Creating person-centred care plans
- Managing & treating long-term conditions in line with national & local guidelines, & practice protocols
- Reviewing medication for therapeutic effectiveness, in accordance with evidence-based practice & agreed protocols; supporting patients with adherence
- Prioritising health problems & intervening appropriately in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiating effective emergency care
- Supporting & managing the health needs of women presenting for sexual health, contraception & cervical cytology consultations
- Implementing & participating in vaccination & immunisation programmes for adults & children, including for patients travelling abroad
- Hypertension review & management
- New patient & NHS health checks

Essential
- A relevant nursing degree.
- Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
- Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience/qualifications.
