Working closely with the Social Sciences faculty, you will design and deliver a dynamic curriculum covering social stratification, crime and deviance, education, research methods, and contemporary social theory. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an innovative, organized, and proactive educator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach high-quality, engaging Sociology lessons across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)

  • Plan, resource, and execute lessons that foster critical evaluation, sociological debate, and analytical essay writing

  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, preparing Sixth Form students for A-Level examination success and university entry

  • Contribute to department enrichment initiatives, including Sociology societies, debate clubs, and external university lectures

  • Maintain high standards of classroom engagement and promote an ambitious, intellectually curious learning environment

  • Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care, tracking, and overall wellbeing of your assigned year group

  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to update schemes of work and exam preparation resources

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Social Sciences department

Candidate Requirements
