Are you a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking to make a real difference in primary care? Mid Norfolk Healthcare is seeking two enthusiastic and proactive Pharmacy Technicians to join our established PCN pharmacy team. Ideally CPPE pathway qualified (or willing to undertake the qualification), you will play a key role in supporting our Mid Norfolk PCN member GP practice(s) while also contributing to the ongoing development of pharmacy services across the wider PCN. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of primary care, combining practice based patient support with wider service improvement, medicines optimisation and neighbourhood focused working as the NHS transitions towards integrated neighbourhood teams. You will report directly to the PCN Lead Pharmacy Technician , work collaboratively with Pharmacy Technicians across the PCN, and receive professional oversight and support from the PCN Lead Clinical Pharmacist . Whilst supporting a designated practice, you will be part of a collaborative PCN wide pharmacy team helping shape the future of pharmacy services across Mid Norfolk. - Work closely with GPs, practice teams, Clinical Pharmacists, community pharmacies, care homes and wider health and care partners.
- Contribute to the development of standardised pharmacy processes and pathways across the PCN.
- Participate in service and workforce development as the PCN progresses towards neighbourhood based working.
- Support data collection, reporting and evaluation of pharmacy services and patient outcomes.
- Actively contribute to PCN pharmacy meetings, training sessions and service improvement projects.
Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Good understanding of medicines optimisation and safe prescribing principles.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Patient clinical systems.
- CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway qualified.
- Previous experience working within Primary Care Networks or General Practice.
- Experience of SystmOne and prescribing optimisation tools.
- Experience of Anima digital healthcare platform.
- Understanding of NHS primary care structures and neighbourhood working.
Essential
- Qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy.
- Demonstrate experience of working with other clinical professionals/as part of multi-disciplinary teams to influence patient care.
- Experience of working in primary care.
- Experience of working in a GP Practice.
