Personal Assistant / Carer (Complex Care) + HB

We are seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive Female Personal Assistant / Carer to support a female client living in Harrow with complex health needs. This is a varied role that combines high-quality personal care with household management and administrative responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong command of the English language (both written and spoken), and be confident liaising with healthcare professionals and managing day-to-day administrative tasks.

Full training will be provided , making this an excellent opportunity for someone with the right attitude, compassion and willingness to learn.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Administer medication in accordance with care plans and training.
• Support the client to access the community and participate in social and recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate daily records and care documentation.
• Liaise with GPs, hospitals, consultants and other healthcare professionals to arrange appointments.
• Order medications and medical supplies, carry out regular stock checks, and resolve any issues with suppliers.
• Maintain records of medication and medical supply stock.
• Assist with general household management and administrative duties.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic home environment to a high standard, recognising the client's increased risk of infection due to a compromised immune system.
• Promote the client's independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

Essential Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a home with cats.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts and commit to a minimum of four shifts per week.
• Caring, patient, compassionate and professional.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is required before employment can commence.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience supporting individuals with complex health needs.
• Experience in mental health care.
• Experience in care coordination or administrative roles.
• Confidence using basic IT systems, email and maintaining accurate records.
• Medication administration experience is desirable but not essential.
