Clerical Officer - Southern Health & Social Care Trust  |  Armagh

 

Join the Southern Health & Social Care Trust in a vital administrative support role, contributing to the delivery of key children's health services across the region.

Working as part of the School Nursing team, you'll provide efficient and effective administrative support to help deliver the Healthy Child, Healthy Future Programme, including the coordination of the regional immunisation and paediatric flu vaccination programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused professional to become part of a dedicated healthcare team, supporting services that make a meaningful difference to children, families and local communities.

About the role: 

• £12.71 per hour
• St Luke's Hospital, Armagh
• 24 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
• Temporary until 19th February 2027

What you'll be doing in this role:

• Prepare packs/ envelopes for distribution to pupils in schools.
• Deliver and collect correspondence to schools on behalf of the school nursing service.
• Contacting GP surgeries/ parents for updates on vaccination histories.
• Word Processing correspondence and reports.
• Filing, photocopying and general office duties.
• Telephone duties including maintaining diaries and arranging meetings/ appointments as requested.
• Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the Band which may be assigned from time to time in light of developments.

What you'll need for this role:

• 3 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification and 1 years’ experience in a clerical/ administrative role OR,
• 2 years experience in a clerical/administrative role
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Word or equivalent.
• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment with flexibility to move between different schools in the Southern Trust area
• As the nature of this post is likely to involve working with or being in close contact with children and/or vulnerable adults any offer of appointment will be subject to an Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure.
