Academics is recruiting enthusiastic Education Studies graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in supportive primary schools across South East London. We will have temporary, long-term and permanent opportunities available from September, making this an ideal first step towards a career in teaching, education or SEND.

The Role

Working alongside experienced teachers, you will support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 by:

Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
*

Assisting with literacy and numeracy programmes.
*

Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
*

Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.
*

Helping teachers create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

This role offers excellent practical experience while developing your classroom skills and confidence.

We Are Looking For

A degree in Education Studies.
*

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*

A positive, patient and proactive approach.
*

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. This could include tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering or childcare.
